Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ON101 is a topical macrophage-modulating botanical cream developed by Oneness Biotech for the treatment of chronic wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers (DFU) and venous leg ulcers (VLU). It is composed of extracts from two plants, *Plectranthus amboinicus* and *Centella asiatica*. The drug's primary mechanism of action involves regulating the local wound environment by shifting macrophages from a pro-inflammatory M1 phenotype to a pro-healing M2 phenotype, thereby reducing inflammation and promoting tissue regeneration. Marketed under the trade name FESPIXON, it has received regulatory approval for DFU in several regions and is currently undergoing clinical evaluation for other chronic wound types such as VLU and pressure sores.
