Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Onartuzumab + sorafenib** is an investigational combination therapy for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma. Onartuzumab is a monoclonal antibody that targets the hepatocyte growth factor receptor (MET), inhibiting MET-mediated signaling pathways associated with tumor growth, angiogenesis, and metastasis. Sorafenib is a small molecule multi-kinase inhibitor blocking several kinases involved in cell proliferation (Raf kinases), angiogenesis (VEGFR, PDGFR), and tumor progression. The combination seeks to simultaneously inhibit tumor cell signaling and angiogenesis, aiming for enhanced antitumor activity compared to monotherapy.
