ONCO51

ONCO51 is a recombinant fusion protein biologic developed by Adamed Pharma for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, with a specific focus on gastrointestinal tract malignancies. The molecule is designed with a dual mechanism of action: it targets the death receptors DR4 (TRAIL-R1) and DR5 (TRAIL-R2) to directly induce apoptosis (programmed cell death) in cancer cells, while simultaneously binding to the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) receptor to inhibit tumor angiogenesis. By disrupting the tumor's blood supply and activating extrinsic apoptotic pathways, ONCO51 aims to overcome resistance mechanisms common in traditional therapies. It is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation to determine safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in patients with refractory solid tumors.
