Overview

OncoACP3 is a small molecule radiotracer and ligand with ultra-high affinity and specificity for Acid Phosphatase 3 (ACP3), a phosphatase abundantly expressed in prostate cancer but largely absent from normal tissues except the healthy prostate. It is being developed as both a diagnostic agent (notably labeled with Gallium-68 for PET imaging) and as a therapeutic agent when conjugated to radioisotopes such as Lutetium-177 or Actinium-225. Preclinical studies have demonstrated rapid, selective tumor accumulation, minimal uptake in non-target organs (including kidneys and salivary glands), and potent anti-tumor activity at low doses. OncoACP3 offers potentially superior specificity compared to PSMA-based agents due to higher expression of ACP3 in prostate cancer tissue and lower background uptake, making it promising for both detection/staging (diagnostic) and targeted radiotherapy of metastatic prostate cancer[1][2][4][5][6].
