Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OncoACP3-COOH-DOTA is a hydrophilic, prostatic acid phosphatase (ACP3)-targeted ligand developed as a radiopharmaceutical diagnostic imaging agent. It is a derivative of OncoACP3-DOTA, designed by replacing the 1,6-hexanediamine linker with a lysine residue to enable solid-phase synthesis and improve hydrophilicity. When labeled with gallium-68 ([68Ga]Ga-OncoACP3-COOH-DOTA), it is used for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of prostate cancer. Compared to its parent compound, [68Ga]Ga-OncoACP3-COOH-DOTA exhibits significantly reduced hepatobiliary excretion, resulting in lower hepatic and gastrointestinal background uptake while retaining high binding affinity for ACP3, thereby potentially improving image quality for detecting abdominal and hepatic lesions.
