Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Oncobax AK is a live biotherapeutic product (LBP) containing a proprietary strain of Akkermansia muciniphila (strain P2261). It is designed to be used as an oral adjuvant to anticancer immunotherapies, specifically to boost the immune system and restore sensitivity to immunotherapies in patients with primary resistance. The drug works by modulating the gut microbiota of cancer patients who are deficient in Akkermansia and resistant to immunotherapy treatments.
