OncoImmunome is a personalized therapeutic cancer vaccine developed by the University of Connecticut Health Center. It is designed as an immunostimulant, aiming to elicit tumor-protective immune responses in patients with cancer, specifically ovarian carcinoma. The vaccine formulation is unique to each patient and utilizes preserved fresh tumor tissue obtained after surgical debulking and chemotherapy. As a therapeutic vaccine, its mechanism involves stimulating the patient's immune system to recognize and attack cancer cells. The drug reached Phase 1 clinical trials for stage III/IV ovarian carcinoma but has since been discontinued in development[1].
