Oncoquest-CLL

Oncoquest-CLL is an autologous cancer vaccine developed by XEME Biopharma for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The vaccine is formulated using the proprietary Aggregon technology platform, which creates a liposome-based biologic consisting of an extract of the patient's own leukemic cells (autologous tumor cell lysate) combined with recombinant human interleukin-2 (IL-2) as an immunostimulant. This multilamellar unit structure is designed to effectively present tumor-associated antigens to the immune system. Administered subcutaneously, the vaccine aims to stimulate cytotoxic T lymphocytes and natural killer cells to recognize and kill the patient's specific cancer cells. It has been primarily evaluated in treatment-naive patients with low or intermediate-risk CLL during the 'watchful waiting' phase, with the therapeutic goal of generating an anti-tumor immune response before the patient's immune system is compromised by advanced disease or chemotherapy.
