ONCOS-401

ONCOS-401 is an oncolytic adenovirus therapeutic being developed by Circio Holding (formerly Targovax). It is a biologic agent engineered to selectively replicate within and lyse tumor cells while simultaneously expressing the CD40 ligand (CD40L). By producing functional CD40L, the virus acts as a CD40 stimulant, binding to CD40 receptors on antigen-presenting cells and activating NF-κB-dependent signaling cascades. This dual mechanism of direct oncolysis and immune activation is designed to induce a robust systemic antitumor immune response. The drug has demonstrated clinical signals in a compassionate use program (Advanced Therapy Access Program) for the treatment of various neoplasms.
