Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Oncozac is a herbal dietary supplement and proprietary Chinese medicine developed by PuraPharm Pharmaceuticals in collaboration with The Chinese University of Hong Kong. It contains ONCO-Z, a standardized extract of the mushroom Coriolus versicolor (Yunzhi), which was the first traditional Chinese medicinal ingredient verified by the United States Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) Dietary Ingredient Verification Program. The supplement contains Absorbable Peptidoglucan (APG), which is designed to stimulate the proliferation of immune cells, including white blood cells, bone marrow cells, and macrophages. Oncozac is primarily used as an adjunct therapy for oncology patients to strengthen immune function and alleviate side effects associated with surgery, radiotherapy, or chemotherapy. It is registered as a proprietary Chinese medicine in Hong Kong (HKC-10447) and is administered orally in capsule form.
