Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ONCR-201 is a fully human monoclonal antibody that targets epithelial membrane protein 2 (EMP2), an oncoprotein. EMP2 is overexpressed in aggressive cancers such as triple-negative breast cancer, ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer, and glioblastoma. Originally developed by Paganini Biopharma, ONCR-201 was acquired by OncoResponse to expand its oncology pipeline with a preclinical candidate. The drug was placed on an IND-track for first-in-human studies planned for 2019, aiming to treat these aggressive cancers by targeting EMP2.
