The product line includes several generic formulations designed to treat productive cough and associated respiratory symptoms. The standard formulation, including the sugar-free variant **Onimex SF**, contains the mucolytic agent **ambroxol** and the expectorant **guaifenesin**. Ambroxol works by thinning and loosening respiratory secretions, while guaifenesin increases the volume and reduces the viscosity of mucus, making it easier to expel. The **Onimex CZ** variant combines ambroxol with the antihistamine **cetirizine**, which addresses allergic symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, and congestion by antagonizing H1 receptors.
