oNKord

oNKord is an allogeneic, ex vivo-generated Natural Killer (NK) cell therapy developed by Glycostem Therapeutics. It is an off-the-shelf cellular immunotherapy product derived from umbilical cord blood stem cells, which are expanded and differentiated into NK cells. These NK cells are part of the innate immune system and preferentially target tumor cells while sparing healthy tissue, thereby reducing the risk of graft versus host disease compared to other cell therapies such as CAR T-cell therapy. oNKord has received orphan drug designation for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) from both the FDA and EMA, as well as for multiple myeloma from the FDA. Clinical studies have shown promising safety and efficacy in AML patients in remission with measurable residual disease, with ongoing trials evaluating its use in AML and multiple myeloma[1][2][3][4][5][6].
