Overview

ONM-500 is an investigational cancer vaccine and immunotherapy developed by OncoNano Medicine. It utilizes a proprietary pH-sensitive micelle platform to deliver tumor-specific antigens—specifically for cancers caused by human papillomavirus (HPV)—and activate the STING (Stimulator of Interferon Genes) pathway. Upon intradermal injection, the micelles accumulate in lymph nodes and are taken up by dendritic cells; the acidic environment inside endosomes causes the micelles to dissociate, releasing their antigen payload and activating STING. This leads to robust activation of T lymphocytes directed against tumor cells. The approach aims to orchestrate a targeted immune response against HPV-driven cancers[1][2][3].
