ONO-4685 is an investigational bispecific monoclonal antibody that targets both programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and cluster of differentiation 3 (CD3). It is designed to bind specifically to human PD-1, an inhibitory receptor expressed on activated T and B cells as well as malignant T-cells in certain lymphomas, and CD3, a component of the T-cell receptor complex. By engaging both targets, ONO-4685 aims to activate T-cells against malignant cells while modulating immune responses. The drug is being developed for the treatment of relapsed or refractory T-cell lymphoma—including peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL)—as well as autoimmune diseases such as plaque psoriasis. Its mechanism involves redirecting cytotoxic activity toward tumor cells via antibody-dependent cell cytotoxicity and immune modulation[1][3][5][9].
