ONO-7268MX2 is an investigational therapeutic cancer vaccine being developed by Ono Pharmaceutical for the treatment of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Administered via subcutaneous injection, the vaccine is designed to stimulate the patient's immune system to mount a targeted response against tumor-associated antigens (TAAs) that are overexpressed in HCC cells. The "MX" designation typically indicates a mixture of multiple peptide antigens intended to broaden the immune response and reduce the likelihood of tumor escape.
