Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ONO-7428 is a first-in-class monoclonal antibody drug candidate that targets and inhibits the function of ONCOKINE-1—a novel tumor-derived protein implicated in cancer progression and resistance to immunotherapy. By binding to and inhibiting ONCOKINE-1, which acts on both cancer cells and immune cells to promote tumor growth and immune evasion, ONO-7428 is designed to exert antitumor effects. The drug was originally developed by NEX-I (South Korea), with exclusive worldwide development and commercialization rights acquired by Ono Pharmaceutical in March 2024. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for advanced or recurrent solid tumors.
