Overview

ONO-7429 is a bispecific antibody currently under clinical development by Ono Pharmaceutical for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. As a bispecific T-cell engager, it is designed to simultaneously bind to a tumor-associated antigen (TAA) on cancer cells and the CD3 receptor on T-cells, thereby facilitating the formation of an immunological synapse and inducing T-cell-mediated cytotoxicity against the tumor. The specific tumor-associated antigen targeted by ONO-7429 has not been publicly disclosed in detail, although it is part of Ono's broader strategy to expand its immuno-oncology pipeline beyond checkpoint inhibitors. The drug is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 dose-escalation study in Japan to assess its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary anti-tumor activity in patients with unresectable, advanced, or recurrent solid tumors who are refractory to standard therapies.
