Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Onradivir (also known as Onravir or ZSP1273) is an orally active, small-molecule inhibitor of the influenza A virus RNA polymerase basic protein 2 (PB2) subunit. Developed by Raynovent Biotech, onradivir acts by binding to the PB2 cap-binding domain, thereby preventing the 'cap-snatching' mechanism essential for initiating viral transcription and replication. This first-in-class antiviral is approved in China for the treatment of acute uncomplicated influenza A in adults and is under clinical evaluation (NDA/BLA stage) as a pediatric granule formulation.
