ONX-1006 is a nanoparticle-based anticancer drug candidate developed by Onselex, designed for the treatment of pancreatic cancer and other solid tumors. It is formulated as a nanoparticle delivery system for paclitaxel, aiming to improve efficacy and reduce toxicity compared to conventional paclitaxel formulations such as nab-paclitaxel (Abraxane). Preclinical studies have demonstrated that ONX-1006 provides superior anticancer effects in xenograft models of pancreatic and breast cancer, with significantly fewer adverse effects even at doses much higher than the lethal dose of standard paclitaxel. The drug has shown no significant toxic side effects or changes in clinical chemistry parameters during animal studies. ONX-1006 can be administered intravenously once weekly over extended periods without observable adverse events[1][2][3][6].
