Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OP001F (OsteoActivator-F) is a Class 3 medical device developed by Osteo-Pharma for the treatment of bone fractures. It consists of a biodegradable collagen barrier membrane coated with the proprietary OsteoActivator technology. This technology utilizes a biodegradable PLGA carrier to provide the sustained release of two low molecular weight compounds: testosterone, which promotes bone formation, and alendronate, which inhibits bone resorption. The device is designed for local implantation at fracture sites to facilitate guided bone regeneration and enhance the natural healing process over a period of 4 to 6 weeks.
