Opicapone + rasagiline is a combination therapy comprising **opicapone**, a peripherally selective, reversible catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT) inhibitor, and **rasagiline**, a selective and irreversible monoamine oxidase B (MAO-B) inhibitor, used primarily in the management of Parkinson's disease. Opicapone increases levodopa bioavailability by inhibiting its peripheral degradation, while rasagiline enhances central dopaminergic activity by inhibiting the breakdown of dopamine in the brain. Together, they can be co-prescribed as adjuncts to levodopa therapy to reduce motor fluctuations ("off" episodes) in Parkinson's disease. Although not formulated as a single fixed combination with a unique brand name, their use together is supported by clinical experience and guidelines, particularly when further reduction of motor fluctuations is needed[1][3].
