Overview

OPM-3001 (also known as OT-301 or K-134) is an investigational small molecule inhibitor of Rho-associated protein kinase (ROCK) being developed by Ocumension Therapeutics under license from Kowa Company. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of primary open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. OPM-3001 works by inhibiting the ROCK1 and ROCK2 enzymes, which leads to the relaxation of the trabecular meshwork and an increase in aqueous humor outflow, thereby reducing intraocular pressure (IOP). Formulated as an ophthalmic solution, the drug is designed to provide a potent IOP-lowering effect with a favorable safety profile. It is currently in Phase II clinical development in China, where it is being evaluated for its efficacy and tolerability in patients who require reduction of elevated intraocular pressure.
