Overview

**OPN-019** was an Optinose intranasal drug-device combination candidate for COVID-19. It combined Optinose's proprietary bidirectional Exhalation Delivery System with an undisclosed commercially available antiseptic intended to coat deep nasal mucosal surfaces and directly inactivate SARS-CoV-2 locally. Optinose conducted a randomized, adaptive, single-dose proof-of-concept Phase 1 study evaluating viral-load reduction in adults with COVID-19; the program was subsequently terminated.
