Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OptiBroc is a proprietary broccoli seed extract developed by 4Potentia, standardized for its high content of glucoraphanin (also known as sulforaphane glucosinolate). As a natural dietary supplement ingredient, it serves as a stable precursor to sulforaphane, a potent bioactive isothiocyanate. The primary mechanism of action involves the activation of the Nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) signaling pathway. Upon conversion to sulforaphane, it triggers the cellular antioxidant response element (ARE), leading to the upregulation of Phase II detoxification enzymes and antioxidant proteins such as glutathione S-transferase and quinone reductase. OptiBroc is designed for use in nutraceutical formulations aimed at supporting cellular health, metabolic function, and systemic detoxification.
