Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Optium DBM Gel is a bone graft substitute developed by LifeNet Health, designed for filling bony voids or gaps in the musculoskeletal system. It is a biologic tissue-based product composed of particulate demineralized bone matrix (DBM) combined with a glycerol carrier. The DBM is processed using proprietary Precise Aseptic Demineralization (PAD) technology to achieve residual calcium levels of 1-4%, which preserves its osteoinductive potential. The gel formulation is flowable and moldable, providing an osteoconductive scaffold that supports bone healing and fusion in applications such as joint reconstruction, trauma, and posterolateral spine fusion. It is sterilized using Allowash XG technology and is provided ready-to-use without requiring rehydration or thawing.
