Overview

Opucolimab (HLX20) is a recombinant human monoclonal antibody of the IgG4 subtype that targets programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1). By binding to PD-L1 on tumor cells and immune cells in the tumor microenvironment, it blocks the interaction between PD-L1 and its receptor PD-1 on T cells. This inhibition releases the "brakes" on T cell activation and restores anti-tumor immune responses. Opucolimab is being developed primarily for use in advanced solid tumors as an immuno-oncology therapy. The drug was developed by Henlius (Fosun Pharma)[1][2][3][4][5].
