Overview

OR2805 is a fully human IgG1 monoclonal antibody that targets CD163, an immunosuppressive scavenger receptor highly expressed on M2-like tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) and myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs). By binding to CD163, OR2805 reprograms these immunosuppressive macrophages toward an immunostimulatory, M1-like phenotype. This relieves immune suppression in the tumor microenvironment, enhances T-cell activation and proliferation, and increases anti-tumor immune responses. Preclinical studies have shown that OR2805 can restore interferon-gamma production by exhausted T cells and synergize with checkpoint inhibitor therapy. The drug is being developed primarily for advanced solid tumors—including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), melanoma, sarcoma (including liposarcoma and leiomyosarcoma), squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck—and has been evaluated both as monotherapy and in combination with other anticancer agents such as anti-PD-1 antibodies or chemotherapy[2][3][6][9].
