Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OR2805 + docetaxel refers to the combination of OR2805, a fully human IgG1 monoclonal antibody targeting CD163, with docetaxel, a taxane chemotherapy agent. OR2805 is designed to bind CD163, a receptor highly expressed on tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) and M2-like macrophages in the tumor microenvironment, where its blockade relieves M2 macrophage-mediated immunosuppression, reduces tumor-promoting functions, and enhances anti-tumor T cell activation and function. Docetaxel is an established small molecule antineoplastic agent that promotes apoptosis by stabilizing microtubules and inhibiting cell division. The combination is being investigated in advanced solid tumors, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and melanoma, to assess synergistic anti-tumor effects with both immunomodulation and cytotoxicity[1][2][4][6].
