Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Oraglutide is an oral GLP-1 receptor agonist being developed by Diabetology for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus and obesity. The drug utilizes Diabetology's proprietary Axcess™ technology, which is a peptide delivery system designed to enable the oral administration of peptides that are typically delivered via injection. By agonizing the glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor (GLP-1R), Oraglutide promotes glucose-dependent insulin secretion, suppresses glucagon release, and slows gastric emptying, thereby improving glycemic control and supporting weight reduction. It is currently in Phase 2 clinical development.
