Overview
Oral cannabis extract (VER-01) is a standardized, full-spectrum phytocannabinoid formulation containing cannabidiol (CBD), cannabigerol (CBG), and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in a 1:1:1 ratio at a concentration of 20 mg/mL each. Developed by the Federal University of Latin American Integration, this oral botanical extract is being evaluated in the open-label, Phase II CBDermis clinical trial for the treatment of mild to moderate psoriasis vulgaris. The formulation acts primarily as an agonist at cannabinoid receptors (CB1 and CB2) and modulates keratinocyte proliferation pathways to alleviate psoriatic inflammation and associated symptoms such as pruritus and psychosocial distress.
