Overview
Oral degrader-NEK7 is an orally bioavailable small-molecule degrader developed by Prodegre Pharmaceutical. It is designed to induce the targeted degradation of NIMA-related kinase 7 (NEK7), a protein that serves as a critical regulator for the assembly and activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome. By reducing NEK7 protein levels, the drug aims to suppress the downstream inflammatory signaling pathways associated with NLRP3, which are implicated in the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson's disease, as well as various inflammatory and autoimmune conditions. The program is currently in the lead optimization stage of preclinical development.
