The oral hexavalent reassortant live attenuated rotavirus vaccine is a multivalent biologic candidate designed for the prevention of acute gastroenteritis caused by rotavirus infection in infants. It is currently in Phase 3 clinical development, with trials focusing on batch consistency, immunogenicity, and safety in infants aged 6 to 12 weeks. The development is primarily led by the Wuhan Institute of Biological Products (WIBP), a subsidiary of Sinopharm, often in collaboration with regional centers such as the Hebei Provincial Center for Disease Prevention and Control for clinical evaluation.
