Oral mucosal immunoprophylaxis

Oral mucosal immunoprophylaxis (OMIP) is a biological intervention composed of a specific mixture of allergen extracts. This mixture includes 0.2 mL of timothy grass extract, 0.2 mL of cat allergen extract, and 0.2 mL of house dust mite extract, totaling a daily dose of 0.6 mL. It is being studied for its potential in the primary prevention of allergic diseases and asthma in high-risk children, aiming to prevent the development of these conditions through early childhood exposure to common allergens.
