Oralbalance

Oralbalance is an over-the-counter artificial saliva product from the Biotène dry mouth care line, formulated as a moisturizing oral gel or liquid to provide symptomatic relief of xerostomia (dry mouth). It contains a mixture of humectants and lubricating agents along with a bioactive enzyme system (including lactoperoxidase, glucose oxidase, lysozyme, and lactoferrin in some formulations) designed to supplement natural saliva’s moisturizing and protective functions, soothe and protect oral tissues, and improve comfort for eating, speaking, and swallowing in patients with salivary hypofunction due to medications, radiation therapy, Sjögren’s syndrome, or other causes.[1][2][4][7][8][9]
