Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ORALVAC COMPACT BÄUME is a sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) product containing standardized aqueous allergen extracts from tree pollens, specifically birch, alder, and hazel. It is used for the treatment of IgE-mediated allergic diseases such as allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, and asthma triggered by these tree pollens. The therapy works by gradually exposing the immune system to small amounts of allergens to induce tolerance and reduce allergic symptoms over time. The up-dosing phase can be completed rapidly in a clinical setting or more gradually at home, followed by a maintenance phase with daily dosing. Clinical studies have shown that it is well tolerated and effective in reducing symptoms and medication use during pollen seasons[2][5][6]. It is suitable for adults and children from 2 years of age[5][6]. Developed by Allergy Therapeutics, this product is marketed primarily in Europe.
