Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Oravexx is a proprietary, non-addictive cannabidiol (CBD) formulation developed by Orcosa for the management of pain and inflammation. The drug utilizes the Rapid Infusion Technology (RITe) platform, an orally disintegrating tablet designed to dissolve in the mouth in less than three seconds, facilitating rapid absorption of CBD into the bloodstream. Oravexx is currently being evaluated as a non-opioid alternative for treating post-operative pain, such as that following arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, as well as acute and chronic pain conditions including osteoarthritis. By leveraging a fast-acting delivery system, Oravexx aims to provide the therapeutic benefits of CBD with improved bioavailability and onset of action compared to traditional oral formulations.
