Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ORB-GX is a monovalent molecular glue being developed by Orionis Biosciences using its proprietary ALLO-GLUE™ platform. This platform focuses on the discovery of small molecules that act as "glues" to induce or stabilize novel protein-protein interactions, typically between a disease-relevant target protein and an E3 ubiquitin ligase, leading to targeted protein degradation (TPD). Unlike bivalent degraders (PROTACs), monovalent glues like ORB-GX are generally smaller and may offer better pharmacological properties. As of early 2024, ORB-GX is in the IND-enabling phase of development. While the specific molecular target and primary therapeutic indications are currently confidential, the program is a central component of Orionis's internal pipeline of precision medicines.
