Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**ORBCEL-M** is an investigational, off-the-shelf allogeneic mesenchymal stromal cell therapy derived from healthy human bone marrow. The product is enriched by anti-CD362 antibody selection to yield an immunomodulatory stromal-cell population and is administered as a single intravenous infusion. It was developed by Orbsen Therapeutics for progressive diabetic kidney disease in adults with type 2 diabetes and evaluated in the randomized, placebo-controlled Phase 1b/2a NEPHSTROM study. Its intended therapeutic activity is pleiotropic rather than mediated through one defined drug target: the selected MSCs are intended to modulate maladaptive inflammatory and immune processes associated with diabetic kidney disease and may support renal protection.
