Overview

Ordopidine (ACR325) is a small molecule dopaminergic stabilizer developed primarily for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease and psychoses, including bipolar disorder. It acts by increasing dopamine and noradrenaline levels in the forebrain while inhibiting excessive dopamine activity in other brain regions without causing unwanted motor side effects. Ordopidine has demonstrated promising results in preclinical models for both motor function and psychosis. Its mechanism involves low-affinity antagonism at dopamine D2 receptors[1][3][6].
