Overview

Orego-Stim is a 100% natural phytogenic feed additive containing high-quality oregano essential oil, which is rich in active phenolic compounds such as carvacrol and thymol. Developed by Anpario (and historically by Meriden Animal Health), it is widely used in livestock, poultry, and aquaculture to support gut health, improve feed conversion efficiency, and promote growth. The active components, carvacrol and thymol, exert potent antimicrobial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory effects. They primarily act by disrupting the cell membranes of gastrointestinal pathogens (such as *Escherichia coli*, *Salmonella* spp., *Clostridium perfringens*, and *Eimeria* spp.), leading to cell lysis and death. This helps prevent and manage intestinal infections like coccidiosis and necrotic enteritis, serving as a natural alternative to antibiotic growth promoters.
