Overview

ORI-C101 is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cell therapy developed by OriCell Therapeutics for the treatment of advanced liver cancer. It specifically targets glypican-3 (GPC3), a protein commonly overexpressed in certain liver cancers. The therapy involves engineering a patient's own T cells to express a CAR that recognizes GPC3, enabling targeted immunologic cytotoxicity against tumor cells. In clinical studies, ORI-C101 has demonstrated promising safety and efficacy profiles in patients with GPC3-positive advanced liver cancer, including an objective response rate of 44% and disease control rate of 78%. The product is currently being evaluated in phase I/II trials in China[1][3][7].
