Orialpha

Orialpha (BD-C) is a botanical investigational drug developed by Oriplantee Company Limited, primarily targeted for the treatment of breast cancer. It is derived from the plant *Uvaria grandiflora* (known as Bù dẻ tía in Vietnam), a species utilized in traditional medicine. The principal active constituent of Orialpha is zeylenone, a polyoxygenated cyclohexene derivative. Zeylenone has demonstrated potent anti-tumor properties in preclinical models, including breast cancer, by inducing apoptosis and inhibiting the proliferation of malignant cells. The drug is currently undergoing Phase I clinical evaluation in a single-arm, open-label, dose-escalation study to establish its safety profile, tolerability, and maximum tolerated dose (MTD) in healthy adult volunteers.
