OriC628 is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy being developed by Shanghai Oricell Therapeutics for the treatment of gastrointestinal malignancies. It is engineered to target Cadherin-17 (CDH17), a calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion glycoprotein that is highly expressed in colorectal cancer (CRC) and other gastrointestinal tumors but has limited expression in normal tissues. By expressing a CAR specific to CDH17, the patient's T cells are directed to recognize and eliminate CDH17-positive tumor cells. The program is currently in the preclinical/discovery stage of development.
