Orlance is developing a biodefense-focused nucleic acid vaccine program targeting a range of high-priority viral threats, including Ebola virus, Dengue virus, Encephalitis viruses, Hantavirus, and xPox (Orthopoxviruses). The vaccines utilize the proprietary **MACH-1** (Micro-particle Associated Nucleic Acid) platform, which is an epidermal powdered gene gun delivery technology. This needle-free system delivers DNA-coated gold microparticles directly into the epidermis, targeting the dense network of antigen-presenting cells to elicit potent and broad immune responses. The platform is designed for rapid deployment and stability, potentially eliminating the need for cold-chain logistics. The program is currently in preclinical development and focuses on both emerging infectious diseases and biothreat agents.
