Oroxid is a patented, active oxygen-based medical device for topical use in the oral cavity. Its primary active ingredient is hydrogen peroxide (typically at 1.5% concentration), which releases active oxygen upon contact with oral tissues. This mechanism mimics the natural oxidative defense of immune cells by generating singlet oxygen and water, leading to antimicrobial effects against bacteria, fungi, and viruses. The released oxygen also promotes tissue regeneration and healing by enhancing cellular oxygenation and energy production in mitochondria.
