ORYN-1053 is a synthetic macrocyclic peptide drug candidate developed by Oryn Therapeutics. It belongs to the class of Orynotides, which are inspired by theta-defensins—naturally occurring circular peptides found in Old World monkeys. These peptides are notable for their high stability, low toxicity, low immunogenicity, and excellent bioavailability. ORYN-1053 is being developed as an inhibitor of cellular processes relevant to cancer and is intended for use in combination with PD-1 or PD-L1 inhibitors for the treatment of neoplasms (cancers).
