Drug intelligence / Profile preview
OS47720 is a preclinical-stage small molecule inhibitor of Heat Shock Protein 90 (HSP90) being developed by OncoSynergy. HSP90 is a molecular chaperone involved in the folding and stabilization of various client proteins, including those associated with neurodegenerative processes. By inhibiting HSP90, OS47720 is intended to modulate protein homeostasis (proteostasis) and potentially reduce the accumulation of toxic protein aggregates, such as tau or amyloid-beta, which are central to the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease. The program is currently in the preclinical phase of development.
