Overview

OS478 is a preclinical-stage oncolytic virus being developed by OncoSynergy. It is engineered to specifically target CD29 (also known as β1 integrin), a cell surface receptor that is frequently overexpressed in various aggressive cancers and is associated with tumor growth, metastasis, and resistance to standard therapies. By utilizing CD29 as a targeting moiety, OS478 is designed to selectively infect and lyse tumor cells, a process that not only destroys the cancer cells directly but may also stimulate a systemic anti-tumor immune response through the release of tumor-associated antigens.
