OSBONE is a fully synthetic, non-organic hydroxyapatite bone graft substitute developed by Curasan. It is a Class III medical device designed to provide an optimized osteoconductive scaffold for bone regeneration. The material features a high porosity (80%), which facilitates rapid osseointegration and provides high volume stability, making it suitable for filling bone defects and augmenting the atrophied alveolar ridge. While primarily utilized in dental applications such as sinus lifts, cystectomies, and periodontal defects, its mechanism of supporting bone healing and regeneration is also applicable in orthopedic surgery, trauma, and spinal surgery contexts.
